Vivi and I watched as Barack Obabma was sworn in as our 44th President and asks Americans to choose "hope over fear" to overcome our financial crisis in his inaugural address.

Nobody Sits Baby in the Corner!

Well actually they do, especially when they are afraid that she might turn into naughty baby and disturb the other diners. Lance and I went to Chang Mai Thai for dinner last night. In the past, we used to go there for happy hour all of the time. Lance and I came into the restaurant by the bar that we used to sit all of the time and were escorted to our seats...in the waaaaay back of the restaurant, in a room that I have never even seen before in the corner.

Aunt Marge

Vivi and I went over to see Aunt Marge today. Aunt Marge and Vivi snuggled for a long time :)

Vivi got a new outfit today. We went to Macy's and went shopping for the after Christmas deals. After Lance and I ate at the Macy's cafeteria, I went to the restroom to change Vivi's diaper. I wasn't quick enough, she sprang a leak and peed all over her outfit. I had to take it off of her, walk her back to the cafeteria in her jacket and diaper and wrap her in a blanket to head off to the kids section. The ladies next to us said Vivi tricked us into buying her a new outfit.

I tried to pick out something that wasn't pink, and I was more concerned with just putting some clean, dry clothes on her that after I walked her out of the restroom in her new ensemble, I realized that the outfit I bought her was for a little baby boy. Too late to return because she was already dressed in it and the labels had been ripped off.

Della's Game

This afternoon we all went and watched Della's Basketball game where her and her team faced a brutal defeat. The score was 9-28. Della's team needs to work on all aspects of their "game"...I can say this because I know Della will NEVER look at this blog. It was almost comical the way her teammates launched the ball at the basket...the first strategy they should work on is using the back board of the basket to actually get the ball in the basket. And communication, passing, dribbling,...well like I said, all aspects of the game need to be worked on. After awhile, you do have a hard time not laughing at what you are watching. I know a father next to us commented that it was going to be a longggggg season.

We bought Vivi a swing because she loves to be rocked...Apparently she likes to be rocked in your arms, she did not like the swing too much :( We are going to keep trying.

Sunday, January 4th

Bought Vivi this new dress and decided that we would play "dress up" after she awoke from her nap. The dress is way too hot and hard to maneuver on her so it is going back to the store. I just could not resist taking a picture while she was all dressed up in her pantyhose. She tired of my real quick

Happy New Year!!! 2009

Happy New Year! This year my resolution is not to have any resolutions...I am just going to try to live a good life and have balance.

The Huskers played the Gator Bowl against Clemson Tigers. The Huskers were victorious against The Tigers with a 26-20 final score. Laura, Paul, Lance, Leah, Della, Vivi, and I all watched the game together. Vivi slept through most of the game while Paul and Lance yelled obscenities at the television. I thought they might wake her slumber many times.

I was very impressed with Paul's knowledge of football, I think that he should quit his day job and work for the Husker organization in some capacity.

Lance wanted to have a good spread of food so we had Prime Rib sliders, Walleye fingers, artichoke dip, shrimp cocktail, summer sausage and cheese trays.... good food always makes Lance happy.

Laura and Paul bought Vivi an adorable Husker outfit so we put all of ours on too and took a picture to root the home team on....
